Bengaluru-based Karta AI, a voice AI platform for inbound customer operations in banking, financial services and insurance, has closed a $3 million seed round led by PeerCapital and Cedar Hill Capital, with participation from Wyser VC, CDM Capital and Seedstars.

The company said the funding will strengthen its end-to-end automation and multilingual capabilities, expand deployments with financial institutions and grow its engineering and go-to-market teams.

Founded in 2024 by Vijaypal Singh and Abhishek Kushwaha, Karta AI builds voice AI agents that handle inbound calls for banks, lenders, fintechs and insurers. The platform integrates with enterprise systems to resolve queries and carry out workflows without human involvement unless escalation is needed. Unlike conventional voice bots, it can manage multiple customer intents in a single conversation, using a predictive context engine that learns from past interactions handled by both humans and AI.

Karta AI said it manages around 2 million conversations a month across more than 25 languages, with its servicing agent resolving about 70% of borrower queries end to end, covering tasks such as disbursal status and account statements. The startup plans to build reusable industry-specific capabilities and expand internationally.

The deal reflects rising investor interest in India’s agentic voice AI sector, following recent rounds for Desible.ai, Navana.ai and Rezolv.
