Leena AI, a New York-based enterprise agentic AI company, has secured a strategic investment from IBM Ventures, the venture capital arm of IBM. The funding will support the company’s growth as large organizations increasingly seek AI agents that run back-office processes from start to finish rather than simply answering questions.
The company’s AI Colleague platform deploys autonomous agents that resolve employee requests, carry out multi-step workflows and operate across existing HR, IT and Finance systems, including SAP, Workday, Salesforce, Oracle and ServiceNow. Recognized as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for three consecutive years, Leena AI automates operations for more than 500 enterprises worldwide.
Co-founder and CEO Adit Jain said enterprises have moved beyond experimenting with conversational AI and now want agents that own entire processes within their existing systems. He added that IBM’s backing signals that back-office agentic AI is ready to operate at the scale of the world’s largest organizations.
Emily Fontaine, Global Head of IBM Ventures, said Leena AI stood out for its focus on the operational complexity of HR, IT and Finance, and that its approach complements IBM’s work in AI orchestration and governance.
The investment adds to existing backing from Greycroft and Bessemer Venture Partners.
